Yesterday was one of those days where things get worse and worse and everything new that happens makes things go downhill further. Dude felt like things were going too fast. He enjoyed his time away and wants more of it, starting with most (probably all) of this weekend and most of next week. He warned me that when he goes to Germany for 2 weeks in May, I won't hear from him at all. We agreed there is an "us" and that we want to keep dating and that we aren't interested in dating other people, but that was early in our conversation and I suspect that by the end that prospect is less likely. I wasn't really accepting that things are the way they are, which probably made it worse.
I'm still absorbing it all. The last few days I felt crappy because I didn't know what was going on. Now I do. There's relief at understanding the signs and signals and now things make sense, but I despise how beginning relationships can turn sour so quickly and I'm sad that my pattern continues. I was so hoping that this time would be different. I feel so alone. Once again, those that have loved ones close to you - hold them tight.
((((Jordan)))) I'm sorry to hear this. I know you are hurting. Remember though that this may end up being for the best. The right one just hasn't come along yet and you don't want to be settling for one who isn't on the same page when the right one does. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem to be a communication/expectation thing. I am a suspicious type person when it comes to men (I just assumed they all wanted to bang me, no commit to me, so I'd tell them, "I don't have sex until marriage, so if that's what you want, move along." hahahha.) It seemed to me that a guy who can't call the gal he's supposedly really into is a guy who may be ...um...well, let's just say I wondered where his head was at. In my experience, when a guy is REALLY into a woman, he chases. CHASES. Not chased. :D
ReplyDeleteMaybe distance will make him appreciate you. Or maybe not. But I think you're learning what you want and need...and you need a guy who pays attention and prioritizes YOU. That's the only kind of guy I want, frankly. I don't want someone who is well and happy to not hear from me for weeks...
You deserve a guy who RUNS to hear your voice and see your fae. YOU DO!!!!
I am sorry Jordan. I don't know what to say to make you feel better. All I can say I will pray for you Jordan so you can find peace in this situation.
ReplyDeleteTake care, relax and do something that makes you happy. Blessings my friend!
